In Manhattan it is very easy to see people on the streets looking for money. Often they say they need money for a train or bus ticket. They don't appear poor or homeless, but they look like they have lost there direction in life.
I once helped one of these people who had a sign board saying he needed seventeen dollars to buy a train ticket to return home. Later, I was shocked when I saw him again with the same sign board but at a different location.
The last weekend in July around 7:30 in the evening I found these two young men outside Grand Central Train Station. I would like to trust what they say, but their eyes are not clear. I think to myself "what a sad life at such a young age".
