뉴욕나눔재단 후원음악회

뉴저지주 잉글우드클립스의 NV 팩토리(대표 유성환·400 실반애비뉴)는 음악가 최성호, 백성은, 김혜린씨와 장소를 제공해주신 김성원씨와 함께 뉴욕 나눔 재단 후원 음악회를 열었다.

70여명이 참석한 이날 공연에서는 전문 연주자들이 재능기부(才能寄附)로 아름다운 선율을 들려주었다. 뉴욕나눔재단은 “전문 아티스트들이 멋진 음악을 들려주며 참가자들과 함께 나눔의 기쁨을 함께 누리게 되어 정말 행복한 시간이었다”고 말했다.

NV Factory도 “앞으로도 이런 후원 음악회를 통하여 커뮤니티를 위한 나눔의 활동을 계속해 나아갈 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

한편 뉴욕나눔재단(이사장 스티븐 오)이 28일부터 ‘2018년도 기금 수혜 단체’ 신청 접수를 시작했다.

뉴욕나눔재단은 한인을 비롯한 아시안 비영리 단체들을 대상으로 오는 10월15일까지 지원금 신청을 받는다고 밝혔다.

올해 지원금은 소외된 노인과 여성, 아동·청소년, 이민자 및 장애자 등을 위한 각종 복지 프로그램과 아시안 문화 및 예술 계통의 비영리 단체로 나눠 분배될 예정이다.

신청 자격은 비영리단체(501(c)(3))에 등록된 기관으로 뉴욕, 뉴저지, 커네티컷, 펜실베니아 등 미 동부 지역에 기반으로 둔 한인을 비롯한 아시안 커뮤니티에 각종 복지 혜택을 제공해야 한다.

재단은 2019년 1월1일부터 12월31일까지 한 해 동안 진행되는 프로그램에 대해 최고 2만달러 또는 전반적인 재정 확보를 위해 최고 5,000달러의 지원금을 각 분야의 외부 전문가들로 구성된 심사단이 최대한 공정하게 심사해 선정한다는 계획이다.
