‘더 파인더’ 한인 포럼이 애틀랜타에서 열린다.
재미시사평론가 이명동 박사가 주최하는 ‘2018 열린 포럼’ 행사가 4월 15일 오후 2시 애틀랜타 둘루스 소재 애틀랜타한인교회에서 개최된다.
올해로 8회째를 맞이한 '더 파인더' 한인포럼의 주제는 ‘정체성(正體性)’ 조명이다. ‘Identity in 21st Century: 21세기에 걸맞는 정체성은?’ 타이틀의 포험엔 이명동(Myong D. Lee) 박사를 비롯, 이한솔(Hansol Lee) 시니어컨설턴트, 정승우(Sungwoo Jung) 컬럼버스스테이트대학 교수, 김준구(Brian Kim)씨가 각각 주제 발표를 하고 관객들과 질의응답을 하게 된다.
이명동 박사는 기조연설에서 ‘문재인, Trump를 비추어본 21세기의 정체성 : 역사, 문화, 책임’(Identity in 21st Century through the eyes of #MeToo, Moon Jae-in and Trump: History, Culture, Leadership #MeToo)을 주제로 풀어나갈 예정이다,
이한솔 컨설턴트의 강연 주제는 ‘21세기에 찿는 우리들의 정체성(Many Faces of Identity in the 21st Century)’이고 정승우 교수는 ‘주변인으로 사는 즐거움(Be Happy As a Minority)’, ‘랩을 하는 철학자’로 알려진 브라이언 김씨는 ‘우리 스스로에게 말하는 정체성과 남들이 말하는 이야기(Identity as a narrative-Stories we tell ourselves and stories others tell us)를 각각 들려주게 된다.

“정체성이 무엇인지 질문하고 생각해 보신적이 있습니까? 마음을 열고 경청하며 대화를 나누는것이 점점더 힘들어지는것을 모두가 느끼고있는 시대에 살면서 그 이유가 정체성의 혼돈에서 온다고 생각해 본적은 있습니까? 침착하게 조리있게 생각해보면 끝없이 흥미있고 필요한 질문입니다. 본인의 정체성은 무엇이라고 생각하십니까?”

Yet, it is an important foundation of our life, playing decisive role in the direction of our life. Let’s come together and examine what it is/what it could be.
It is always much better when we come together and hear different voices.
After all, Identity inherently implies in relation to.“

Here are the speakers name, title, and their topics.
Myong D. Lee (이명동): Political Social Commentator. He'd like to speak to the audience as a citizen about "Identity in 21st Century through the eyes of #MeToo movement, Moon Jae-in and Trump: History, Culture, Leadership."
Sungwoo Jung (정승우): Professor of Marketing at Columbus State University. His topic is "Be Happy As a Minority."
Hansol Lee (이한솔): Senior Consultant. He describes himself as a day day dreamer. His topic is "Many Faces of Identity in the 21st Century."
Brian Kim (김준구): Philosopher and Rapper. He describes himself as a "story" with topic titled, "Identity as a narrative-Stories we tell ourselves and stories others tell us."
In this Communal Dialogue, Questions and opinions are expected and welcomed.
