¡°For more than 70 years, isolation, arms, troops and doomsday threats have been used to separate a once unified country,¡± the American feminist activist and author Gloria Steinem said in the news release. ¡°Isn¡¯t it time that leaders stop, recognize danger and listen?¡± The New York Times
Friend--a quick update and appeal for your solidarity! Help us and join us in this great Odyssey of making of a permanent peace in Korea and Northeast Asia. We will end the war there this time and forever with your help! We will get the job done!
1. Under a Martial Laws-like environment the United States forced the deployment of THAAD yesterday
•Many residents had just finished Buddhist and Catholic prayers ceremonies
•1:50 AM: 10000 police force (including 1001 Special Police Force) v. 150-200 local residents
•Dozens of residents were injured
•Residents suffering from serious heart injury
•Residents broke ribs and necks
•Male policemen beat and dragged elderly women residents
•For the whole time American soldiers on the army trucks passed by the scene of war smiling
•Korean public opinion, including major party leaders and presidential candidates, are outraged and feel betrayed by the United States¡¯s coercive action and call for the immediate halting of the unlawful, illegal, unconstitutional and unjust deployment of THAAD. Superpower such as the United States can and must use soft power especially Koreans in the South living under a healthy democracy! Legitimacy is the most important. The United States is risking losing the hearts and minds of Koreans who support the United States. STOP THE FORCED DEPLOYMENT OF THAAD NOW!
